Finalists Announced for Kutztown University Young Artists Piano Competition

Kutztown, PA (03/29/2017) — In recognition of Kutztown University's new All Steinway designation, the university will hold a Young Artists Piano Competition on Sunday, April 2, at 2 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

The competition was open to all high school aged students. Applications and a video submission were due in February and the following individuals will compete on April 2.

3:15 p.m. Aidan Kluger, Tenafly, NJ

3:30 p.m. Nina Beltrami, Bethlehem, Pa.

3:45 p.m. Daniel Park, Cresskill, NJ

4 p.m. Ellie Kim, State College, Pa.

4:15 p.m. Korina Cheng, Mountain Top, Pa

4:30 p.m. Connie Jiang, Harleysville, Pa.

4:45 p.m. Shaumik Phadke, Orefield, Pa.

Awards and prizes include:

1st prize: $500 and full tuition scholarship to the Kutztown University Summer Chamber Music Festival that will be held from July 1 to 8, 2017.

2nd Prize: $300

3rd Prize: $200

Kutztown University is one of 150 schools worldwide and a dozen Pennsylvania institutions of higher education with the All Steinway designation. Students at the university acquire a refined perception of tone and performance in their musical experiences with Steinway Pianos.
