KU's PASBDC signs Cooperation Agreement with Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture

Harrisburg, PA (10/31/2018) — The Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (PASBDC) at Kutztown University signed a cooperation agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Dixon University Center in Harrisburg.

The cooperation agreement was signed Wednesday by Russell Redding, secretary of the PDA, and Ernie Post, director of the PASBDC.

Wednesday's agreement is designed to further shared goals of economic impact and rural development by supporting agribusinesses by connecting employers with consulting resources, providing assistance as needed in business planning and financial analysis, sharing printed and online research resources to benefit PA companies, and cross-training of staff at professional development and industry conferences, among other initiatives.

Redding agrees to serve on the PASBDC Advisory Board and may appoint Ernie Post, director of the PASBDC, to an advisory board as appropriate.

The Secretary of the PDA and Director of the PASBDC or their designee(s) will meet quarterly to implement these initiatives by reviewing the status of PDA-PASBDC cooperation, new programs and initiatives, and any issues frustrating cooperation. Both parties will summarize the status of cooperation in writing once a year beginning at the end of the calendar year of 2019.
