Kutztown University Rises in US News and World Report Rankings

Kutztown, PA (09/12/2017) — Kutztown University has been named a "Best Regional University" in the U.S. News and World Report's annual ranking of U.S. colleges and universities. In data released today, U.S. News lists KU as number 126 in the first tier of the Best Regional Universities for the northern region, two spots higher than last year and up five spots over the 2016 rank. KU has been ranked in the first tier since 2011.

Additionally, Kutztown ranks in the top 50 percent of the 13 institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) that were ranked as regional universities.

Best Regional Universities ranks institutions that offer a full range of undergraduate degrees and some master's degree programs but few, if any, doctoral degrees. Six hundred twenty-one universities are included in the Best Regional Universities rankings.
