Kutztown University Small Business Development Center Assists Beyond Fit

Douglassville business set to open Jan. 12

Kutztown, PA (12/22/2017) — Douglasville Community to Celebrate Grand Opening of Beyond Fit Gym

Pennsylvania Representative David Maloney and Senator John Rafferty will join local community members to celebrate the grand opening of Beyond Fit, Douglassville's newest small-group personal training gym, for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Jan.12, at 11 a.m. at 102 Park Lane.

The grand opening will highlight the new community oriented building and diverse fitness programs such as: strength training, TABATA, Aikido, PiYo, and interval training. Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a free workout trial of their choice.

Originating in 2015 as an outdoor boot camp for local mothers, Beyond Fit plans to extend their fitness training programs to neighborhood middle school, high school, and athletic teams in the new facility.

"Beyond Fit provides all the necessary tools for everyone to succeed," said owner Ty McCarthy. "I am thrilled to be expanding my fitness programs for the Douglassville community to grow and pursue a healthy lifestyle beyond just body fitness…Our gym is unlike the typical commercial gym - ours is accessible, affordable and has group training opportunities for all ages."

Ty and the Beyond Fit team will present the results of their gym's recent 6 week "Not One Inch" holiday challenge which started December 1st. The challenge is designed to help clients navigate their holiday season without gaining an inch, and provides members with a weekly nutrition and workout plan. Beyond Fit's mission this holiday is to assist members enjoy time with family and friends during the holiday season while also working towards loving yourself.
