The Black Klansman Ron Stallworth Coming to Kutztown

Kutztown, PA (10/11/2018) — Ron Stallworth, author of the Black Klansman, will be coming to Kutztown University to share his experience on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium. The event is free, open to the public and is sponsored by KU's Association of Campus Events (ACE).

Stallworth, the first black detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department, worked undercover and infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s. He authored the memoir, Black Klansman, telling his story of the investigation of a lifetime, which was recently adapted to a major motion picture, BlacKkKlansman, directed by Spike Lee.

His story has been told by national publications, including TIME Magazine, The Washington Post and The New York Times.
