Adam Cooper Awarded Silver Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University

Adam Cooper of Palmyra, PA, has been awarded a Silver Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University. It is the highest honor awarded by the university.

Cooper graduated from Kutztown in December 2016 with a double major in Environmental Science and Geology. He received the award for his successfully completed research projects.

Cooper's research centered on the documentation of environmental change in the region of Greenbackville, Va. He researched the formation of salt marshes in the area.

Over the past three years, he has presented his findings at conferences in both Denver and Baltimore for the Geological Society of America, as well as at the Restore America's Estuaries National Summit.

Cooper is a dean's list scholar, a four-time National Science Foundation STEM Scholarship recipient, a co-author on 8 published professional abstracts and is a College of Liberal Arts and Science STAR Student.
