Academically, May has been no stranger to receiving awards for her dedication to the classroom. She earned Dean's List honors in all eight of her semesters at KU, and has been named to the All-National TenPin Coaches Association (NTCA) Academic Honorable Mention Team in each of her first three seasons.

May is a three-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete and a two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient. As a music performance major, she is also a member of the University Choir.

As a team, the Golden Bears finished the year ranked 16th in the nation. They remained in the top-20 in the country for the entire season, stretching their streak to eight straight years inside the top-20.

Kutztown won 73 matches this year and was the runner-up at the ECC Championships. It donned the inaugural ECC Coach, Bowler and Rookie of the Year while placing five on the first-ever All-ECC Team.
