Danielle Ashway and Kutztown University Women's Rugby to Play in Collegiate Rugby Championships

The Kutztown University women's rugby club will participate in the Collegiate Rugby Championship Invitational for sevens May 30-31. Friday's pool play will be held on the campus of Neumann College in Aston, Pa., with the championship slated for PPL Park in Chester.

Kutztown is the only Division II program in the eight-team women's field and will participate in Pool B. The Golden Bears will play three pool games Friday, beginning with Temple at 11 a.m. They will face Army at 1:20 p.m. and James Madison at 3 p.m..

Pool A will consist of Penn State, Navy, Air Force and Boston U.

The Golden Bears went 1-3 in last year's CRC, placing seventh. KU fell to Division I Boston U., Texas and Ohio State in pool play on Friday, before defeating host Drexel on Saturday.
