Emily Bogner Awarded Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University

Emily Bogner of Lancaster, PA, has been awarded a Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University. It is the highest honor awarded by the university.
Bogner graduated in December with a degree in geology. She received the award for her successfully completed research projects.
Bogner has played a key role in a number of important research projects during her time at KU. She has traveled to Utah to conduct studies on quicksand conditions that trapped pre-historic Utahraptors and methane-generated mud volcanoes.
She also spearheaded a project involving Triassic microbial mats.
Bogner's research has contributed to a number of international academic journals and her work involving the methane-generated mud volcanoes was presented at the National Geological Society of America Meeting in Vancouver.
