Jennica Leclerc Awarded Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University

2017 Apr 21

Jennica Leclerc of West Chester, Pa., has been awarded a Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University. It is the highest honor awarded by the university.

LeClerc is graduating this spring with a degree in physics. She received the award for her successfully completed research projects.

This past summer, LeClerc was awarded a research assistant position at the College of William and Mary, sponsored by the National Science Foundation. While there, she also participated in research at the Jefferson National Accelerator Lab in Virginia where she experimented with the Standard Model, which uses physics theories to explain how the universe works on the smallest scale.

In the future LeClerc hopes to attend graduate school, and maybe one day work at a major particle accelerator facility.
