Liza Parker Selected for Sociology Prestigious Honors Program

Kutztown University sociology student Liza Parker of Quakertown, Pa., was selected to attend this year's annual American Sociological Association Honors Program.

Every year, a handful of students are granted the opportunity to attend this annual conference where some of the country's top scholars come together to discuss contemporary issues in the field.

These students included those from Princeton University, Columbia as well as the University of Chicago.

This year's program took place in Chicago, Ill.

Kutztown University's Sociology program is 1 of only 5 other programs nationwide to send 4 or more students to this highly prestigious event. It is also 1 of only 3 programs to send students three consecutive years in a row.
