Trevor Arnold Awarded Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University

Trevor Arnold of Tamaqua, Pa., has been awarded a Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award from Kutztown University. It is the highest honor awarded by the university.

Arnold is graduating this spring with a degree in communication studies. He received the award for his successfully completed research projects.

This past year, Arnold completed a full research study on the stereotypical gender portrayals used in Instagram clothing ads. He presented his findings at the 2016 Eastern Communication Association convention in Baltimore, Md.

As the result of his achievements with this research, and other projects like it, Arnold has received the AT&T Communication Scholarship, a Board of Governors Tuition Waiver and a research grant through the university.

Arnold will be attending a master's program in the fall with the goal of eventually being a university professor.
