Williams Named PSAC East Offensive Player of the Week

Junior wideout Kellen Williams (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) hauled in 10 catches for a career-high 219 receiving yards in the Kutztown University football team's come-from-behind, 34-33 victory at Indiana University (PA) on Saturday, earning him this week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Williams found the endzone twice in the Golden Bears victory, as his 200-yard effort marked the first for KU since Elfren Quiles set a school-record with 308 yards in 2007. It marked his third career double-digit catch game and fourth 100-yard receiving effort of his career.

Kutztown receivers hold three of the top four spots in the PSAC in receptions this season, led by Williams in second with 19. He is the conference's only 300-yard receiver through two weeks and leads the league with 307 yards at 153.5 per game. His three touchdowns rank second.

For his career, Williams, just two games into his junior campaign, ranks 13th all-time at KU with 1,506 career receiving yards, 10th in receiving touchdowns (16) and 11th with 112 catches.
