Boston Brass to Join Reading Pops at Kutztown University

Kutztown, PA (11/02/2017) — The Boston Brass will take the stage on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium on the Kutztown University campus. Tickets are $35; $18 for students and can be purchased at www.KutztownPresents.org, or by calling the KU Presents! Box Office Tuesday - Friday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 610-683-4092.

The Boston Brass quintet will be joined by the 50-piece Reading Pops Orchestra, directed by Willis Rapp.

Performing exciting classical arrangements to burning jazz standards, Boston Brass captivates audiences of all ages with their unique brand of entertainment. The ensemble's lively repartee, touched with humor and personality, attempts to bridge the ocean of classical formality to delight audiences in an evening of great music and boisterous fun. The philosophy of Boston Brass is to provide audiences with a wide selection of musical styles in unique arrangements, provided in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

The Reading Pops Orchestra, established in 1969, is made up of musicians from the Reading and Berks area, and the surrounding counties. The combined group will present several patriotic pieces saluting Veterans Day.

Established to be the center of cultural life at Kutztown University, KU Presents! serves the campus and community by bringing world-class live arts that can entertain, educate and enrich.
