Brenda Booz Named KU Employee of the Month for July 2019

Kutztown, PA (09/16/2019) — Congratulations to Brenda Booz, technology support specialist in Information Technology, on being named KU Employee of the Month for July 2019.

Booz's nomination from Patricia Gauger, clerk typist 2, Admissions, reads:

"Brenda is and has always been very helpful each and every time I reach out to her. She is always so pleasant and helpful. There has never been a situation where she didn't solve my issue within the first few minutes of the conversation. She is extremely knowledgeable and to the point.

The other words I use to describe her are pleasant, calm, patient, kind, conscientious and, did I say knowledgeable?

From my first encounter with her by phone almost seven years ago and again very recently, she has effortlessly explained things to me in a way that made sense and allowed me to do my job. She never made me feel like she was too busy and always took the time to guide me.

She truly cares about resolving issues, helping people and shows a deep commitment and loyalty to Kutztown University. If I owned a business, she would be the first person I would want to hire. She handles all situations professionally and is truly a breath of fresh air.

Brenda is a true asset to Kutztown University!"

Nominations are collected from students, faculty and staff. The Employee of the Month is selected by the Human Resources Advisory Council. A winner will be selected each month, and out of the 12 monthly winners one will be selected as Employee of the Year. The Employee of the Month will receive a plaque, reserved parking and a $100 monetary gift sponsored by President Hawkinson.
