KU Blues and Rock Ensemble to Hold Concert this Wednesday Night, Nov. 28

Kutztown, PA (11/26/2018) — The award-winning Kutztown University Blues and Rock Ensemble will hold a concert this Wednesday night, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Stump Seiger '54 Multipurpose Room in the McFarland Student Union Building. The concert is free and open to the public.

The ensemble will feature music by Stevie Nicks, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, and many more. Earlier this year the KU Blues and Rock Ensemble received an award for the best Undergraduate College Outstanding Performance in the category of Blues/Pop/Rock Group award from DownBeat magazine. Kutztown was the only institution in the State System of Higher Education to receive a 2018 Student Music Award.

DownBeat magazine is the premier jazz magazine for professional jazz musicians and contributors, including producers, engineers, advertisers and students. For its awards, institutions nationwide submit recordings in a variety of categories, after which panels of respected jazz performers and educators select winners and outstanding performance citations.
