KU Department of Communication Design Ready for 12th Annual Designathon
Kutztown, PA (03/16/2017) — The Kutztown University Department of Communication Design will host its12th annual Designathon on Friday, March 24, through Saturday, March 25. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. in the Academic Forum.
More than 100 students, ten faculty and seven alumni will work for 24 hours to create work to satisfy the needs of local non-profit agencies. The agencies will meet with designers to see the final products on Saturday, March 25, at 6 p.m. in the Academic Forum.
Begun in 2005 with 50 students and ten non-profit agencies, Designathon has continued to grow over the past 12 years, offering valuable products for the community and work experience for KU students. This year a group of 15 KU alumni will host their own Designathon at a site in Jersey City, NJ.
