KU Department of Criminal Justice to Present Psychology of School Shooters

Kutztown, PA (09/18/2017) — The Department of Criminal Justice at Kutztown University will host speaker Peter Langman, Ph.D., who will present on the Psychology of School Shooters, Friday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. The event is free and open to the public.

Langman's extensive experience stems from his previous work within the field of threat assessment. He has served with the Department of Homeland Security and on Pennsylvania's Joint State Government Commission's Advisory Committee on Violence Prevention.

Langman is president of the Greater Lehigh Valley chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and has served three years on the board of the Lehigh Valley chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals is a non-profit organization whose mission is to share and facilitate the experiences and techniques of professionals in the field of threat assessment and/or threat management.
