KU Jazz Ensemble I to Hold Concert this Thursday Night, Dec. 6

Kutztown, PA (12/03/2018) — Kutztown University's Jazz Ensemble I will hold a concert this Thursday night, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The ensemble will play selections ranging from big band music, to swing, to the present day. The band's new CD, All Blues, will be available at the performance.

Jazz Ensemble I records throughout the semester and has a major recording session at the end of each term in the KU Department of Music's recording studio. The CDs are then engineered, mixed and mastered by Steve Jankowski, former musical director of Blood Sweat and Tears, who is currently touring with Nile Rogers worldwide. He is one of the most respected trumpet players/music engineers in the country.
