KU Sport Management and Leadership Studies to Host Vince Nicastro Lecture
Kutztown, PA (10/24/2017) — The Kutztown University Department of Sport Management and Leadership Studies will host guest speaker, Vince Nicastro, deputy commissioner and chief operating officer, Big East Conference, on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. in room 200 of the Academic Forum. Nicastro will talk about his success in the sports industry with students majoring in sports management at KU.
Nicastro began his tenure with the Big East Conference in June. He has day-to-day oversight of the Big East's operations and business functions, including governance, compliance, finance, NCAA and institutional relations, Olympic sports championships, events, communications, marketing, sales and television and digital administration. He also serves on various NCAA committees, including the Division I Committee on Infractions.
Nicastro spent 15 years as the director of Athletics at Villanova University, leaving in 2015 to become the associate director of the Jeffrey Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law at the Villanova School of Law.
