KU to Hold 17th Annual Big Band Bash on Nov. 8

Kutztown, PA (10/30/2018) — Kutztown University will hold its 17th annual Big Band Bash on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Stump-Seiger '54 Multipurpose Room in the McFarland Student Union Building. The event is first come, first served and is free and open to the public.

The Big Band Bash will feature selections from the era when swing was king. KU's award-winning Jazz Ensembles I and II will pair off for an old-fashioned battle of the bands, performing the music of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and many more.

Listen to the concert in a cabaret-styled atmosphere and, if you're inclined, dance the night away to the music.
