Kutztown University Hosts Successful Legislative Breakfast Friday

Kutztown, PA (03/11/2019) — Kutztown University hosted more than 50 officials and members of the KU community on Friday, March 8, for KU's Legislative Breakfast at the Georgian Room in Old Main on the KU campus.

Friday featured a discussion based around examining the evolving role of the comprehensive university, its historical purpose, challenges it must face and what it will look like in the future.

"We are delighted and honored to host this important event with many our government leaders," said Dr. Kenneth S. Hawkinson, Kutztown University President. "We have numerous programs, agreements, and initiatives that extend beyond our campus. We know the many benefits that result from going to college - earnings through the course of a lifetime are significantly higher and graduates tend to have higher satisfaction with their jobs - and Kutztown University's impact plays a significant role on the local community and its citizens."
