New York Philharmonic String Quartet Coming to Kutztown University on Nov. 9

Kutztown, PA (10/30/2018) — The New York Philharmonic String Quartet will take the stage at Kutztown University on Friday, Nov. 9, at Schaeffer Auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The New York Philharmonic String Quartet is comprised of four virtuosi principal musicians from the vaunted New York Philharmonic, equally at home as concerto soloists with the Philharmonic and orchestras around the world. To commemorate the 175th anniversary of the New York Philharmonic, this phenomenal string quartet made its much-anticipated debut at Lincoln Center in March 2017.

The members of this acclaimed ensemble, all multiple prize winners, are Concertmaster Frank Huang, Principal Associate Concertmaster Sheryl Staples, Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps and Principal Cello Carter Brey. Their concert program includes pieces by Haydn, Shostakovich, and Brahms.

Expect an evening of magnificent music with the New York Philharmonic String Quartet!

Tickets are $35; $32 for students and seniors, and can be purchased at www.KutztownPresents.org, or by calling the KU Presents! Box Office Tuesday - Friday 11:00am - 4:00pm at 610-683-4092.
