Kutztown, PA (04/29/2019) — Kutztown University's Jennifer Suwak, assistant professor of Cinema, Television & Media Production, delivered the first keynote speech at this year's international KC Media Summit in India on February 15, 2019. The KC Media Summit is held annually by Kishinchand Chellaram College, one of the premier institutions affiliated with the University of Mumbai and recognized by the government of Maharashtra.
Titled "Media & Filmmaking from the perspective of 'A Kind Lens'," Suwak spoke about media being the collective communication tool used to store and deliver data, as well as how it is either associated with communication media or specialized mass media communication businesses, such as print media and the press, photography, advertising, cinema, broadcasting (radio and television), publishing and point of sale. She also addressed filmmaking and the process of making a film intended for extensive theatrical exhibition.
While in India, Suwak was also able to meet with KU's partner school, Symbiosis College, with whom KU recently signed a transfer agreement with this past summer.
Kishinchand Chellaram College was established in 1954 by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board.
