Transgender Artist, Activist to Speak at Kutztown University

Kutztown, PA (04/17/2017) — Skylar Kergil, a 25-year-old transgender activist, will speak at Kutztown University on Wednesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in room 145 of Boehm Science Building. The event is free and open to the public.

Kergil, a transgender artist, has been documenting his transition from female-to-male on Youtube since early 2009. He holds a bachelor's degree in studio art from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, and has been traveling around the world to speak to audiences about trans-rights. It is his passion to open spaces for others through performing, educating, mentoring and by sharing his personal story so others can share theirs.
