Kutztown University education major Brittany Larkin has been awarded the Pennsylvania – Delaware Chapter of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (Penn-Del AER) Student of the Year Education Scholarship. Larkin is a junior from Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pa. She competed against graduate students and working professionals for the award.

Cruz, from Easton, Pa., was awarded $1,600 to fund her research project, "A Assay to Identify Tumor Suppressor Genes Turned Off in Cancer Cells."
